True Blood’s creator, Alan Ball and Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and a bunch of other violent films), are neighbors in turmoil. It seems that Alan keeps some exotic birds at his home and they, like most birds, make bird noises. Quentin Tarantino no likey.

Tarantino is suing Ball over the “blood-curdling screams” that he can hear from his own place. Tarantino claims in his lawsuit, filed Thursday in L.A. County Superior Court, that the “obnoxious pteradactyl-like screams” coming from Ball’s “exotic bird menagerie” have “seriously disrupted [his] ability to work as a writer in his home.”

 

Apparently Tarantino and Ball haven’t been able to figure out how to deal with this amicably. Somehow I am surprised that Mr. Tarantino doesn’t actually enjoy the bird sounds – seems like they might inspire some fresh work…
