t’s that time of the year when the Discovery Channel runs the ever popular “Shark Week” and Kristin Bauer van Straten decided there’s no better time to raise the awareness about Assembly Bill 376 which will protect sharks and our ocean ecosystems by ending California’s contribution to the global shark fin trade.

Kristin posted a letter she wrote to the California state senator Paul Fong on the Oceana blog yesterday.

 

As Kristin describes in her letter, shark finning is a hugely disgusting practice and needs to be banned altogether.
