Can you tell us a little bit about your latest novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series, Dead Reckoning?

Charlaine: Yes, a little. My books aren’t long enough to share a lot! Dead Reckoning deals with Sookie learning about her heritage, the struggles of the fae left in our world, and the vampires of Louisiana coping (or not) with the new regime.

The books are getting noticeably darker in tone as they progress, especially after Sookie’s traumatic experiences in Dead and Gone. Were you influenced by the TV series to go a little darker or was it always planned?

I don’t see the show as darker than the books. All the bad things that happen in the books happen on “True Blood,” though perhaps the TV show has even MORE stuff. I knew that as Sookie was drawn in more and more into vampire politics, the books would get darker.

What do you think of True Blood and Alan Ball’s interpretation of the world you created?

I think Alan is a genius, and I’m always excited to see what he’s put up on the screen.

Clearly you’re on Team Eric in the books but has Stephen Moyer managed to sway you back towards Bill at all?

I dislike the idea of teams. The story I’m telling is Sookie’s, and since all the characters come from my head, it’s not like I could “favour” one of them more than the other.

I have so many. I reread Barbara Pym often, which may seem odd. I'm also a huge fan of Lee Child, Jim Butcher, Naomi Novik, Sarah Monette. . . . a very long list.

He said that it was inspired by the characters in the fourth book by Charlaine Harris, but that in bringing Marnie to life, they were trying to create a character that seems real, but slightly “off.” The witches in Season 4 all follow that approach and are a range of personalities and looks.

Ben also shared that “as far as the magic goes, there was a good deal of discussion in how to depict it in a visual medium. The writers wanted the magic to suit the stories and nature of the show, but also to meet the needs and opportunities of production. Several different traditions were researched and discussed in order to come up with a unique take on witches, witchcraft and magic in the world of ‘True Blood.’”

1. Her husband, Michael Emerson, played Ben Linus on Lost! This is some major geek-fest news for all you Lost fans out there — and it only gets better. Not only is Carrie married to the leader of “The Others,” but she also appeared on Lost as Ben’s mother! Wow, we can’t even imagine all the mommy issues that made their way into the bedroom after that scene….

2. Her red locks are faker than the Kardashian sisters’ boobs. Sorry to disappoint, but Carrie’s natural hair color is not red. This beauty is a blondie, so she sported a wig for the first three seasons of True Blood! But she finally decided to take the plunge and dye her locks for Season 4, an experience she said was liberating. “It’s fun being a redhead,” Carrie told us in our exclusive interview.

3. She started her own production company at just 12 years old. In her front yard. But still, a harbinger of things to come — and way cuter than a bunch of random kids over-charging you at their lemonade stand. These days, Carrie co-owns Daisy 3 Pictures — a big-kid production company with a little kid name!

4. She was on Law and Order: Criminal Intent three times! We all know Law and Order recycles actors like empty bottles, but really? Three times? Carrie played a depressed mom who kills her kids (don’t get any ideas, Arlene), a crazy housewife who kills her husband, and an innocent victim who gets infected with an animal virus and drops dead. It all sounds very True Blood.

5. She’s fashionable! Carrie is a girl’s girl through and through, and she has some major fashion don’ts to impart to her fans: No short-shorts and no thong-bikinis. OMG, what are we gonna do without our thongs and booty shorts?! Dang, guess we’ll have to break out our belly shirts and tramp stamps instead.

6. She’s dying to do a scene with Eric! Carrie says, “I think seeing Arlene square off with Eric in some kind of strange debate about vampire rights would be hilarious and scary.” Please, we all know she just want to marvel at Eric’s hot bod up-close and personal. You’re not fooling anyone, Carrie.

7. She’s nothing like Arlene. Carrie and Arlene might both be from the South (Carrie hails from Macon, Georgia), but the similarities stop there. Carrie’s says, “I mean I’m not anything like Arlene. Nothing.” So wait, Carrie doesn’t have a spray tan and an evil baby living inside her? So bummed.

8. If she could be any super natural on True Blood, she’d be a shapeshifter! We can totally see Arlene morphing into an animal — specifically a high strung Chihuahua or maybe a pink bow-wearing Poodle. You know, something with long nails.

9. She went to Julliard! Carrie honed her skills at the best acting school in the country — it’s no wonder she’s such a hot commodity! They must have one stellar class in “The History of Fang-Banging.”

10. She’s a director. Talk about multi-talented! Carrie just finished directing That’s What She Said, a Sex and the City-esque film starring Anne Heche. Look out for it in theaters this summer!

See what Andy‘s been doing to kill time as we wait for Season 4, in this exclusive teaser….

1. She’s a natural blond! Guess Jessica can’t make fun of Arlene anymore for her fake red hair. Deborah started dying her locks in high school so she’d stand out more — plus she always wanted people to call her “Red.” Deb’s hair color might be a big ol’ lie, but her fair skin is 100 percent legit: “I am naturally as pale as a dead person. I was made to be a vampire.”

2. To prepare for her role as Jessica, Deborah watched lots of animal attack footage. ‘Cause that’s a normal thing to do. No wonder Deborah’s so convincing when she’s chowing down on Hoyt’s neck.

3. She’s an advocate for people with choroideremia. Deborah’s boyfriend Edward Scott has choroideremia, a condition which causes eventual blindness. It’s so sad that one day he won’t be able to see his gal’s pretty face! We’re glad that Deborah uses her celeb status as a fangy freak for such a good cause!

4. Her favorite show is Mystery Science Theater 3000. Major nerd alert! While Deb’s not moonlighting as a teenage vampire, she indulges in her favorite hobby — watching an episode of MST 3000 every night before bed.

5. She perfected a southern drawl in just five days. When Deborah found out that she’d nabbed the role of Jessica on True Blood, she only had five days to get her accent down. This girl is such a pro, she has us convinced she was Louisiana born and bred. We just assumed Deb sat around eating hoe cakes with some inbreds on her off-days!

6. She thinks fear is sexy. “I think that fear and sexuality are very closely linked. I think things that scare us are a little bit sexy. Things that are unknown attract us. And blood, that deep, red, rich warm, life. There’s something really beautiful about that, which we may have some trouble admitting to. There’s something very beautiful about it flowing against the pale vampiric skin.” If Eric = fear, and fear= sexy, then Deborah’s right on!

7. She has Celiac disease. Deborah is unable to break down gluten, so she’ll just have to stick to drinking Tru Blood and Hoyt’s bodily fluids.

8. She met her boyfriend online! Yes, even celebs use dating websites. Deborah met her man Edward Scott on Match.com! Their mutual interests? Graveyard sex, animal slaughtering and naked fairies… duh!

9. Deborah’s from The Big Apple, but she gets no sleep ‘til Brooklyn, her home sweet home! This native New Yorker might be sunning it up in Cali, but sometimes she accidentally slips into a Brooklyn accent on set. Her inner Beastie Boy totally wants to come out and drink some blood!

10. She’s a former Vogue model. Makes sense. Just look at this gal! Even her vampire daddy is lusting after her. (You know it’s only a matter of time til they bang fangs.)

Filmen kommer ha premiär i sommar i USA, men vet inte när den har premiär i Sverige än...

TRUE BLOOD, Season 4, Episode 9, “Run”

[JOYCE WATNEY] 20, this self-satisfied young woman “who loves the sound of her own, bleeding-heart voice” hosts the “Just Say No to Hate” festival of tolerance and media event, to join together vampires and humans in common cause. She’s proud of founding the “Living Dead Student Alliance” at her school. 3 speeches & 1 line, 1 scene.

[DEALER] A male V dealer in his mid 20s, he meets a customer in a seedy alley and warns her against taking too much V. He’s disturbed by the customer’s appetites. 3 lines, 1 scene.

True Blood's Kristin Bauer (Pam) , berättar för VegTV om att vara vegetarian och hennes intresse för djurs rättigheter. Hon pratar också om True Blood och att hon arbetar med säsong 4 just nu.

På flaskans etikett påstods att drycken innehöll människoblod. Nu återkallas 200 flaskor av drycken Tru:Blood från Hemmakvälls butiker.

True Blood är en populär HBO-serie om vampyrer, i vilken svenske skådespelaren Alexander Skarsgård har en av huvudrollerna.

I serien kan vampyrerna besöka barer och beställa en särskild dryck som ska fungera som blodsubstitut. Drycken gör att vampyrerna kan leva sida vid sida med människor.

Sedan en tid tillbaka kan även seriens fans få tag i de stärkande dropparna. En replika av drycken, som kostar upp till hundra kronor, säljs bland annat i Hemmakvälls butiker. Men efter att en felmärkning av produkten har upptäckts återkallas nu 200 flaskor för ommärkning. Enligt ettiketen uppges drycken nämligen innehålla människoblod av typ 0+.

"Det är självklart inte sant och vi finner det mycket olyckligt att dessa felaktiga etiketter råkat hamna i distribution", säger Johan Karlsson, försäljningsansvarig på den svenska importören JL Branding enligt ett pressmeddelande.

Enligt Johan Karlsson var etiketterna aldrig ämnade att tryckas och än mindre att distribueras till butik.

"Vi beklagar verkligen om någon köpt drycken i tron att den faktiskt innehåller människoblod och sedan blivit besviken. Det är en helt vanlig blodapelsinläsk, fast i riktigt cool förpackning", säger Johan Karlsson.

Wetpaint: Has Andy sobered up?

Chris Bauer: If Andy were real and had to answer that question, I’m sure he’d say, “One day at a time.”

Will we learn more about Andy’s personal life this season and meet his sister?

CB: Yes. We will meet Andy’s sister and, from my observation, learn that she got the looks in the family. And we get to see a peek or two into Andy’s family life and past, which I’m so happy about.  I really appreciate the chance for the audience to get to know another dimension of Andy Bellefleur and I see it as an opportunity to authenticate and humanize a guy that is more complicated than he appears.

In Season 4, can Andy step up to the plate and be a good sheriff?

CB: Andy IS a good sheriff.  Think about what’s on his plate.  It’s a supernatural smorgasbord.  The fact that Bon Temps’ citizens lock their doors at night has nothing to do with the crime rate, which is probably relatively low considering that when the sun goes down, the place is a playground for the other world. Seriously though, one of the things I like about True Blood is how it plays with perceptions.  Andy’s flaws have always certainly been out in the open, and that makes him an obvious target for scorn and criticism. But all in all, he’s a full-on dedicated public servant.  He’s very serious about his civic duty and does whatever he can to fulfill it, to the complete detriment of his personal life.  And his ego is entirely connected to his job performance.  It’s certainly not in his fashion sense.  As far as I’m concerned, the fact that Merlotte’s closes each night without a bar fight is proof enough that he’s a good sheriff.

Any chance Andy gets a love interest this season?

CB: If I wish he would, would that make it happen?  The guy needs to touch someone who’s not under arrest.  A woman would be ideal.

When will Andy have his first prerequisite naked scene?

CB: Does anyone really want to see that?  Though I’d welcome the chance to remind America what a real 44-year-old man looks like, I’d still have to be naked in front of strangers, wouldn’t I?  And have you seen the gentlemen I work with?  If I didn’t see them with my own eyes, I’d think they were computer generated.  I work out five days a week, how come I still have a double chin? I guess that’s beside the point. There are plenty of people who think I’m hot, and I’ve met them both personally. Bring it on, I’ll show ya what i got.

If you could be any True Blood beast, what would it be?

CB: If I could look like Joe Manganiello, I’d be him. I mean Alcide. I mean a werewolf.

If you could have any True Blood super power, what would it be?

CB: Without question I’d be a shifter and I would shift into a ten year younger version of myself. Every ten years.
